"can you say shopping?!"

read perrin's blog first pleeeeaaassee: Perrin'sblogisnotascoolasdaniel's.com

9 words: I am about to write a lot more words. I really don't even know where to begin describing Perrin's trip, but being an engineering major, I can tell you that Perrin+any possible scenario=an avalanche of energy and excitement. So New York is probably no different than a trip to E Hall. seriously though. (as a side not I would like to say that everything I write is 100% serious. so though it is not necessary for me to write "seriously though" after the things I say, I will. like Perrin) There is so much to write about, (and perrin only gives me so much material at a time) so i've (Perrin has) decided to break it up by day. so today is day 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have decided to tell this one from Perrin's perspective. here it goes:

On Friday night, I ate the best sandwiches I have ever had in my life. One would even say the taste of these sandwiches did not have an end. unlimited even. Then our journey began. and then it ended.

We arrived that night at the hotel in New Jersey. This was not primarily a place for us to stay, but a business stop for my mother's exterminating company. "When you can't Dubugs, Duvall"

Before we were allowed to sleep, mom had to search for any pests in the hotel. Once the room was cleared, we were able to try and get some rest. Just as we were settling in, tragedy struck. I began laughing so hard that my heart stopped. I literally died. seriously though. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. EMT was called in and I was eventually revived. phew.

Saturday we moved on to a new hotel in New York. it was brand spankin' new. (I, Daniel, don't even know how to make fun of this. she typed out "spankin'" in her blog). and then like omg, can you say SHOPPING?!?!?!?!???!??!!?!?! it was totes not what I was expecting. there were like all these like vendors. and they were like "buy this" and i was like, "uh, no". and then i realized i was way to cool for them and started ignoring them all together. seriously though.

After that we went exploring a few of the many fun places in New York.

This is my dad getting lunch in china town:

This is a few friends we met in little italy
All they wanted to do was find mushrooms and race go-karts. weird. seriously though.

From there we walked down to soho. can you say shopping?!?!?!?!? there were all of my favorite stores all together! I have never been more excited in my life! and then something unheard of happened. I looked at the prices and started to feel the excitement slowly drain out of me. I couldn't even say shopping. I then ran as fast as I could down to the gap. after purchasing A handful of turtlenecks for moderately cheap prices, All was right in the world once again. We then went back to china town for dinner and ate at a restaurant called amazing 66. it was amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing
(and yes that was amazing 66 times) right across the street from us, at another restaurant, Johnny Depp was arguing with with Queen Elizabeth II (the queen of england) about who loved me more. they began screaming about who was better friends with me, Perrin. seriously though. okay i lied. but seriously though. but i did make it up. but seriously though.

and then for like the 10th time today we got more food. this time dessert. but we did not go just anywhere. we happened upon not just any restaurant, but the one that has the best cannolis on planet earth! that right. there are no better cannolis anywhere else anywhere. not even in italy. this was the top of the line. I ordered, not a cannoli, but a bomb! (which the restaurant does not have the best in the world of) not seriously though. well seriously, but not seriously. It was a peanut butter gelato ball covered in chocolate with caramel drizzled on top and in the very middle there was a gooey caramel center. yumm! it was the bomb diggity!

"it was the bomb diggity"

...

you may be thinking, "daniel, what a very unfunny pun you just threw into a very clever and witty blog" Well, in fact Perrin herself wrote this joke. and she thought it was funny. so don't judge.

that pretty much wraps up day 1 in "the city that never sleeps" i'll talk about day 2 tomorrow and day 2 was one of my favorites! we are headed up town to times square, central park, and BROADWAY!! seriously though.

home sweet home

Please read Perrin's blog first or at the same time. Mine will then make a lot more sense.

i'm back, i'm back, i'm back! exams are done and i'm back in business with mocking. because Perrin missed friday AND monday AND i'm lazy, i'm going to combine everything on a thursday! i know, i know. totally illegal. but i'm going do it anyways.
so...favorites. today my favorites are random. very random actually.
1. the middle seat on the bus
i told you they were random...
having a class (actually all of my classes) in America (a country far away from the rest of the world) means i have the privilege to be able to ride bus every day to and from class FOR FREE. there is one seat that as s
oon as i get on the bus i look to see if someone is sitting there. if not, i rush to get it before somebody else does. This might sound a little strange to you, but if you know me, I get that excited about almost everything. Let my try and explain why i love this seat so much:

first, it's perfect for people watching (judging) and i'm a big fan of people watching (judging). you can look to your left, ri
ght, and straight down to the end of the bus at all the people. so great. secondly, it's right by the heat and i loooove heat. especially when it's freeeezing (literally) outside.

this is me in my seat (see the heater behind me!!)
2. post-it notes
the randomness is not getting any better is it?
but i seriously don't know what i would do without them! they keep me sane. like i literary am insane unless i leave myself notes telling me who i am around me. i use them for anything and everything but mostly to remind myself not to listen to the voices i hear in my head. it was the one thing i made sure i stocked up on before coming to school. some of the current ones hanging on the wall in my dorm are "remember pencils for the morning," "Proverbs 21"19 'It is better to live alone in the desert, than with a crabby, complaining wife'" and "mail in rebate for cell phone." see what i mean? they keep me sane. i would forget so much if it wasn't for these little sticky pieces of paper. i don't only stick them on the wall though. books, Bible, mirror, anywhere i can get some free space, there's sure to be a sticky note. the pictures below are an example of another great use of post-it notes. these were all posted on my wall in my room from some dear friends when i got home from thanksgiving. so fun!
and now for the christmas favorite! (this is where the mistletoe monday part comes in).

3. my favorite Christmas movie, and don't laugh, but it's Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. ahhh so good!! it's a classic. again, don't laugh, but i'm watching it right now while sitting in front of the fireplace and writing this anticipating the snow tonight for my white Christmas. as a little girl, i would watch this movie ALL the time; whether it was Christmas or not. i loved the music, the dancing, and i admired how beautiful the aliens and Santa Claus were. plus it's got some robots and space. so talented! i think i pretty much have all the lines memorized and after watching it over and over again i never get sick of it.

i'm going to finish my movie now and make some Zen tea that my momma got me for the care package she never sent. yeah, typical mom... but make sure you check the blog this week because i will be leaving for the big apple on friday night and will have lots to talk about!!!! i'm not excited at all. just kidding! i can hardly wait!! i'm counting down the hours! so, make sure you check it friday! hope you're staying warm and enjoying your night!

Mistletoe Monday

Its like chaniel with a "d"

tl;dr

Perrin's latest blog was way too long and I didnt have time to actually read it. But the title was

Mistletoe Monday. so i will go ahead and assume that on this past Monday, Perrin found her self underneath mistletoe and was kissed. I picture it happening in a fire-lit cozy home on a snowy night. It was magical to say the least. Perrin will never be the same after this wonderful Mistletoe Monday.
